With support from the team at the Environmental Change Institute at the University of Oxford, Climate Habits has been developing the evidence base for workplace-focused programs in effectively engaging people and driving behaviour change.
The magic of Climate Habits is in groups of colleagues meeting online, in person or via group chat to inspire and support each other to take practical actions on climate impact. So really the role of tech is just to reduce the barriers to that happening smoothly. Here's three ways we've tried to do that.
I saw the possibility of combining clear information with behavioural support to make lifestyle changes to help with climate change. And somewhere in that space is the origins of Climate Habits and the start of a journey to develop and iterate the product over the last 12 months.
Over the last three weeks I’ve been part of a Climate Habits group, so I’ve been through the process for myself. It’s inspiring stuff, with just enough structure to feel purposeful and a positive blend of simple technology and people helping each other.
